Default Turbo kit

What do I need for a turbo kit? How much could I save collecting parts instead of just by a kit? Is there a list somewhere of parts needed? THanks a lot.

What you need is to search, search, then search some more.

http://www.activeautowerke.com/

If you want to play safe...... but if you are feeling adventurous, do a research on what tipe of turbo will suit your needs, and buy que parts on EBAY, you can get good deals there...... be careful on who you buy from.

Good luck

Im only looking for about 330-340 horsepower so I wouldnt need to upgrade internal parts right? What kind of turbo would be good for this power. I really dont know much at all so any info would be great.

A t60-1 would do a great job with some extra room for future upgrading. You can get them decently cheap and wont need to do internals. Most other parts mentioned you will also need. Tuning being the big thing.

a couple questions: 1)Should i just have the 3'' pipes made or should i buy them?

2)Why do I need motor mount and what kind should I get?

3) Would a 540 HFM work?

4) Do the Wastegate and BOV need to match the turbo somehow or can i get anykind?

Thanks

If you have to ask that question, you probably shouldn't be designing your own turbo system.

The hardware is the easy part. Getting the tune right is what will make you hate the car intensely.
