I dont know if using a V8 vette is a good example. That car already has a good bit of HP, so the % gained is going to be a lot more. 6lbs of boost on a V8 and 6lbs of boost on a I-6 is a very different thing. I'm sure you know that already just stating it.

I priced piecing together a conventional turbo set-up that ran 15lbs of boost a while back, and I was around $5k, and that was with all the labor done by myself. Even if you got the turbos for free I dont see how you could do it for $1500. Bigger injectors alone will be around $500-600. Tuning will probably be around another $600-800. Then you will still need all the piping, oil lines and various "nuts and bolts" which adds up fast. The one benefit to the remote mount would be the lack of a turbo manifold, which would be really nice on the pocket.

Can you give a price list for this project, I'd like to see it just out of interest.

It'd be awesome to see it done for $1500.

Let me get my business partner to get the price sheet to me.
I will post it here...

Having your own shop; you get parts considerably cheaper then the average joe. And I mean enough to really make a difference, as an example trackpipe simulators and catback from AA would cost you ($1503) plus labor. My price which i cannot list is considerable cheaper.

Really, you mean wholesale and dealer pricing is less than retail?
