I know this isnt the best place for this, but its the only place it will get attention.
I was just looking through the new cars at a local dealer and 3 2006 M5's popped up. I was like wtf, do people not want their m5's??? This is the site http://www.bmwpeabody.com/sales/newcars/?pgroup=16 I thought that they were only special order?? No wait list?? WTF is going on no one wants their order!!!! |

The deal is right now it could be quite profitable to sell your new M5 above cost and order yourself a new one again down the road when they began to sale at MSRP.
The cars were perceived to be hot items...I am not quite sure people are wanting them as bad as originally thought. I have heard of some E60 M5's being offered in the $95,000+ range. That is out of control. But fair I guess according to the market. Also the dealer probably just ordered three M5's full spec knowing that they would sell once delivered...no wait. |

the demand is not as high as anticipated...and to expect a rush similar to a new $20 CD release is not realistic...
price is steep... the economy has people cautious... it's a connoisseurs car, not a posers, and this is the land of 'bling', and instant gratification...red vettes, bleeched teeth, fake boobs, and hair implants... not a real car saavy population, or our product would be better, but we settle for suv's and camaros...lol BMW projects to sell 2,000 a year, and they will, and make big $$$ on each one... |
