Default want to know the deffirence

i need to know which computer system is better the OBD1 or OBD2 that is performance wise & why r the 95 M3 r alwayes different than the rest of the sereis thanks for ur help :nixweiss:

Pretty much the same. You can get bolt on's for both systems that produce equally comparable results.

96-99 were adapted to conform to increased emissions/ safety standards, and 96-99 bear the brunt of corrective changes.

Depends on what state you live in. With OBD2 CA and NJ will fail you if you have any fault codes in the memory or if check light is on. Almost anything can trigger your check light like disconnecting and reconnecting MAF etc. .............my opinion, OBD2 is a tool the state uses to force often unnecesary repairs to your car....and take away your registration if you don't or can't fix it. Do you think your hollowed out cat really impacts the ozone layer more than that city bus you're following....think NOT.

OBD2 will be more sensitive to mods....in my opinion.
