Default when is E90 M3 released-late 06 or early 07?

I did a search, and I've seen a few different dates. I was under the impression that the new M3 would be released in fall 06. BUT, I've seen some replies stating 07.

I have an SLK32 that I'm seriously considering unloading for an M3. I can get a pretty decent deal on an 06, but I'd love to get my hands on a V8.

Does anyone have a definite (more or less) release date, and does anyone have a ballpark on MSRP?

thanks

look into MY 2008, could possibly be released in spring of 07, from what BMW has traditionaly done, they are so typical. Base price would proably be around 55-57K.

I belive the new M will be available in the UK/Europe and possibly Australia in Q4 2006 Q1 2007 with the US to come online shortly thereafter.

thanks for the replies. I thought the M3 would be released in about 12 months. I was thinking a modest rise in base MSRP, but was sure how much.

Hmm still no confirmation on price or anything atm.
I would say there will be an increase but hopefully its nothing CRAZY, if it is, a lot of ppl will be shopping elsewhere as there are a lot of vehicles out there now that MAY be considered as good.

Typically BMW waits 1 year after making a model M before producing a new model. So assuming this is the last year for the E46 M's, they'll probably start releasing the E90 M3's in 07 for MY08.

Going by what everyone ahead of me said, it's safe to assume around Oct. 2007.

Seeing where E90 sedan prices have gone and where the Audi RS4 is rumored to be priced, don't you think that it's safe to assume that a well equipped E90 M3 will be pushing $65K.

I have heard that we will see the E90 M3 at Frankfurt Auto Show next fall with the European release that following spring and the NA release late the following summer.

It's all speculation at this point. Some factors to consider:

It sounds like there will be a 335i turbo at around 300hp. This, along with the M3's bump to a 400 - 425hp V8, and the S4's high price, will give BMW room to move upmarket. How far is speculation. I would doubt they will go so radically higher as to alienate current customers. But I bet base will be at least 55k, with $65k well-equipped.
