Ok....

My cousin has an 02 clk55 amg. He called me up for a race stating that his v8 supercharged engine can kill

my m3 convertible. I thought he was saying the truth but i still wanted to see exactly how far behind i would be. We ran three times and my passenger recorded all three videos that i will post up as soon as i find out how thru a phone. Anyways, first run.....rolling secong gear 60 we hit it and i pulled away four car distance within 5th and 6th gear and at 115-120mph. second....rolling at 1st rpm was at 5000 to 6000 (when you feel that torque as soon as you gun it)....we beeped and off went the m3 again. Finally he got pretty disturbed

that he paid soo much for a car that cant seem to take a car he beleives to be a pretty 3series. FINAL.....out the hole (traction off and launch mode in effect). We hit it...in 1st gear he stayed by my door when i switched to 2nd a little past my trunk and after third a good car and a half distance. All three runs i took him.

CLK55 doesnt have a SC V8, its a NA 350+ hp 360+ tq car, and is without a doubt faster than an M3 vert, but nice kill i guess, lets see this video!

what's the big deal?? everyone knows clk 55 is slower than m3 as soon as they came out (i know first hand)
they "only" has 360hp, no supercharger

Correction....I beleive your right...dunno why he would tell me they are supercharged??? I was looking it up and cant find any s/c that year. But i will try and post videos....any1 know 1/4 on m3 convertibles?? just curious

1/4 mi times in a stock m3 are in the 13's. A convert m3 would be a bit slower due to weight. Someone correct me on the time if I'm wrong.

john, i'll continue this one...

i've seen stock m3's running 12.9x 1/4 miles, but these are rare. a good driver in an average m3 coupe will run a 13.3 @ 106 mph.

verts, on the other hand, are generally a little bit slower. its safe to assume that the BEST of the best m3 verts will run a 13.4 and an average would be a 13.6.
