Default BMW E46 M3 Vehicle Data Record & Modification Journal Template

Okay so I have started to develop another tool/template.

For those of you familiar with my Service / Maintenance tracker tool:
http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=564731

This will be a template for making an entire Vehicle Record folder for filing copies of all your vehicle records such as Service Checklists, Maintenance Worksheets, procedures, invoices, etc.

I have also started to include a Modification / Build Journal template of sorts
for you to log photos and descriptions of all of the changes your car undergoes.

I guess the end game is that you would use this template to document everything about the car for posterity or to be able to hand over to the next owner.

It is just a draft copy at the moment so I have hosted it on DropBox so I don't flood the Message Board with attachments as I develop new revisions:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...20Journal.docx

As I start to develop my own build journal with this and populate it will develop.

If you have any ideas about ways to improve or any comments on it in its current form, let me know and I will look to incorporate / improve as it goes.

Default Re: BMW E46 M3 Vehicle Data Record & Modification Journal Template

I have revised this template a bit and the latest version can be found here (same link as in original post just uploaded latest revision):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...20Journal.docx

All I have done to this is add a "Change Log" for people that build this as they go to track what changes they have made and I have reorganised the order of the sections to be a bit more logical (ie have the more important stuff you would look at / work with more at the front)

I think it's pretty good as is although I am considering making a folder "spine" so that if someone uses this as a folder template you would have a matching "spine" sheet.

The only other thing I have considered revising is maybe building each Section "cover" sheet / content page to have a few brochure pictures almost a bit like the cover page... but I thought this might be a bit over the top to have a full colour page at the beginning of each section so maybe it is better paired back as it is... considering it is only really a folder template of sorts.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
