Default 2002 Imola Red E46 M3 6MT

Picked up an '02 E46 M3 in Imola red/Black with a 6 speed from a fellow forum member about 5 weeks ago. Car had almost exactly 73,000 miles on it and now has about 73,400 as I'm writing this. Only mods to the car are Euro Mirrors, an M coupe shifter, valentine one and laser jammer, and I've since changed the kidney grills and the side grills to gloss black, as well as put a new M3 badge on the rear (old was faded). Car is in overall very very good condition. Previous owner was an M3 forum member who had owned the car for over 9 years and originally purchased it CPO. I have many plans for the car and will definitely be updating this journal pretty frequently.

Planning on reinforcing the subframe, getting a new exhaust, headers, and tune this summer. We'll see where the car takes me. Many more plans I have in mind for the car .

Here's the car after changing the kidney grills, but I've changed a bit more small aesthetic things since then. Got BMW M license plates from BMW for front and rear, gloss black side grills, and smoked sidemarkers with chrome lights that flash amber. Will update with more pics and info soon!!

Very cool! I have a 2002 M3 6 spd. Awesome car. I love it. Are planning on doing any track days with yours? I've taken mine to Watkins Glen several times. It handles very well at the track

Definitely planning on it eventually!! My dad has taken his E90 M3 to watkins glen a ton of times as well as all the other local boston chapter tracks. Your car looks great too! I should mount my license plate like that or on the tow hook if I ever get a new bumper.

Haha! Great. I am interested in the new track at Palmer Motorsports Park too. Looks quite interesting.

I do like where I have it but it blocks the fan. Do when I am at the track I snip the zip ties and take it off.

Nice looking Imola. I love these in Red. It's crazy how much painted reflectors clean up the exterior so much. I just put 12mm spacers on the fronts and it made the stock wheels look so much better gap-wise.

Don't know if I posted this before but the car also had a new transmission and clutch put in at 40k just because previous owner didn't like how it shifted and it was covered under CPO
