Default Mrs. Obioban's e91 328i

Picked this up this morning.

Rear wheel drive
NA
Manual
Hydraulic power steering
No DI
no iDrive

The last of the purchasable BMW's, imo, as all of the above were minimum requirements for me.

Currently it is a 328i, but soon it'll be a Supersprint header/evolve tune 330i, which will put it at (a reliable, NA) ~300 crank HP.

After this summer these wheels will become winter wheels, and we'll get something light/strong for the summer with real tires.

Needs M3/1M subframe bushing asap, and have to figure out what I'm going with suspension on it. Likely it'll be stock sport springs with Koni yellows or Bilsteins.

Roof rack will also be removed.

But, first order of business will be swapping all the fluids!

May dye the vinyl parts of the interior black for a two tone effect, undecided on that...

50,000 miles on the clock, currently. This should be a fun and reliable car for a long time, given how it's optioned.

I really love the non iDrive radio/sirius/bluetooth/ipod interface. Looks old school, but with new school functionality.

Very good choice! I need to get my wife to accept stick shift as well!

Do you plan on retrofitting the 330i intake manifold?

You know why this excites me. Now you won't beat me to my ultimate goal...

This will be fun to watch. I'm no fan of the E9x non-M but I'm sure it won't be long before I'm a fan of this one.

Absolutely, ASAP.

We did it on my brother's car (with enabling software), and the difference is astounding. I love the idea of a factory reliable, 300 crank hp (headers as well), NA, manual, rwd wagon

This doesn't mean I won't beat you to that goal

I'm no fan of most of the e9X cars, but the N52, no iDrive, rwd ones....

Definitely quite the DD setup... does she enjoy it more than the Mini? and I may also have a set of wheels for this with PS2s....

Yeah, I've been liking that idea lately myself. Semi considering something like a 128i as a DD and then turning the M3 into more of a project car. But another side of me wants something more comfortable, like an e60 550i

If I sell the wife's car, I may have winters for you.... nothing special though.
