Still too early to know but his design is to keep the tabs in the hole if they do break.

SYT_Shadow has the most miles on it with over 22k miles which is a good sign.

How much does it weight compared to the OE unit?

Same weight as far as I know. TT drills out extra holes to make it weight the same.

I am feeling pretty positive about this hub.
To recap: it has wider, radiused tabs, which adds to their strength and reduces slack against the oil pump; they have no step so cannot dislodge upon failure; made out of a stronger, malleable material. Seems like the route I'd take if my hub bites the dust.

No failures on V2 or V3. V3 is over twice as strong as V2, which should keep us at ease.

I'm going to disassemble mine soon to take some pics of it and do a valve adjustment while I'm at it... I want to hit 25k first but we'll see if I get to it sooner

It's an excellent design, a true product of M3F's collaboration. We have a lot of engineers here lol.

Same weight as OEM, that's why it has extra holes.

Cost.

BMW should have used round tabs with radiused corners... I would have failed a materials elasticity and fracture class if I had presented a design like this... such a facepalm for BMW

Looks like BMW didn't have enough "what if" scenarios QA fail
