Completed a major front and rear suspension overhaul this weekend on a fellow members gorgeous 99 E36 M3 Estoril/Dove.
Jon came down from LA and stayed the weekend, while we cranked everything out. Short list of what we did Drop entire rear suspension weld in RTAB pocket reinforcements (found the passenger side was ripped. 106k, bone stock, one auto-x, no track events) powdercoated/reinforced rear subframe new OEM subframe bushings 75D AKG front diff bushing new ball joints new wheel bearings new dust shields new OEM RTABs w/limiters Turner adjustable lower camber arms new upper/inner bushings in spring arms new Lemforder ball joints in control arms new Lemforder tie rod assemblies powdercoated/reinforced front subframe new OEM motor mounts new BW solid FCABS new BW solid tranny mounts oil pan gasket Turner oil pan baffle kit z3 2.8 pickup tube oil pump nut (safety wire/loctite) DIY power steering hose fix new steering giubo Vorshlag Camber plates JRZ RS1 coilovers drained diff, clean it out, new gasket, refill Can't think of much else, I'll let the pictures do the talking |

Willl there be any structural difference by cutting the tip off on the reinforcement plate? I doubt I will find the determination to pull my gas tank when I do this...

Make sure to line up the holes with the holes on the trailing arm ![]() putting the flanges back in ![]() time to work on the diff ![]() how did that get in there? ![]() |

![]() this has to go ![]() oh hai E46 csl rotors/Brembo package ![]() e46 ebrake shoes for the e46 rotors to get the e-brake to work again. Needs some modification ![]() ![]() little trim, and good to go ![]() ![]() time for half shafts ![]() ![]() goop them suckers up with anti-seize so it's easier in the future ![]() limiters with the bracket ![]() ![]() slight difference ![]() I like ![]() ![]() damn thats sexy ![]() setting outer trailing arm at ride height so I can preload the upper/lower inner bushings, and mark the RTABs, all to get torqued ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I want BADLY ![]() diff back in ![]() ![]() |
