Default Nitto nt01 vs. nitto nt05 vs. hankook rs3

Hi guys

I have run nt01 and have been in cars with people who run nt01. They are phenomenal and are a great r comp that you can drive to the track on and drive at the track on.

I have been interested in running street tires just to points down in time trials and was considering the hankook rs3 and the nt05.

My question to you guys is:

Have any of you guys gone from nt01 to either of these street tires or vice versa? What was your take on the street tires?

My concern is that i run an aggressive brake pad -pfc 06 - and also my suspension may overwork the street tires -moton clubsport.

Thanks.

Tried both Nt05 and Rs3. Rs3 is faster tire for sure.

I'm definitely going to have to agree that the RS3 is superior to the NT05.

I've been running the NT05 daily, as well as on the track, and they really are not as sticky as the RS3's I have driven on. Have you considered the upcoming Dunlop Star Spec replacement coming out in March?

I'll personally be switching to either RS3's or Star Specs next along with PFC pads.

Nt01 suck too. Only good thing is they don't heat cycle out.

What kind of tire pressures do RS3s work best at? I wasn't really impressed with the RS3s on my last track outing but I figure it's because I didn't fiddle with pressures (set at 33 psi cold) or my shocks. I just drove in and started doing laps. I was on R-comps the time before that, so that could also explain why I was expecting more.

Mike,do you DD the car? I have the RA1 and really liked them. Last a long time and you can drive to track with them.
