What is a backbox?
Anything CSL related... You could definitely find all the info via search or Google.

yes muffler.
i don't think its been extensively discussed in this forum as its probably the LEAST worth it exhaust mod on the car for american cars. then again i am coming from a euro spec already so headers/cats etc are already 'euro'. |

There are audio gains, depends on what brand and sound you're looking for. Some consider a gain being quiet and others louder. Now power is a different story...

Yes, it is a lot louder than stock, but not obnoxious like a lot of aftermarket exhausts out there. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything lest I sold the car..

not sure about the sound, but i hear its 5lbs lighter. so it may have less material inside the muffler or thinner metal?

yeah i read that.. but that thread he switch from a full US to a full CSL which is different.. i'm already on a full euro exhaust in hong kong so the switch to just a CSL box is going to be a lot mild... my friend here is looking to switch out his CSL muffler so i might take a try. i'll post the results up but i doubt anyone intersteed really haha... better going off with something more aftermarket i guess.
