Just bought an M as 3rd vehicle. In the past we've had jeeps or Corvette's as 3rd vehicles. This is our first BMW, and I would like to meet some local enthusiasts.
I will monitor this thread and hope I can make the meet up. Cheers, James Windermere 2002 M3 Convertible, SMG, Carbon Black, 36,000 miles. Bone stock. Immediate needs: Hard wired, Pro Clip mounted Garmin Nuvi, fluids maintenance. Short term desire: Interior trim Spiff up, probably brushed aluminum or carbon fiber overlay. Long Term: ? Yeah I've been slacking on this thread... been super busy.
Everyone still planning on making it out? Angel, shoot me a PM about the details of the valve adjustments. I'll try to give you a call sometime this week if I don't hear from ya.

Yeah I'm still good, rushing to get the car done as much as I can. Just completed all of my planned maintenance the other day. Not sure if I am still going to be getting tint or not, but that would be it for my car at the moment.

Interested in doing this, but curious how this works? People bring their cars and we help each other out? I bought the shim kit and everything else required for the valve adjustment. I don't feel 100% confident doing this by myself for the first time and would love some help.
I would be willing to drive down from Jacksonville Friday evening, leave the car someplace to let the engine cool, and sleep in a hotel. Let me know, thanks! Also, saw the location was at a shop, are we able to use their lifts or tools? I have a few things I may need to do in addition to the valve adjustment (All fluids, steering coupler, adjustable sway bar link, guibo, and CPV). Will try to knock out as much as those as possible at the auto shop on base.
