Default Interior fabric pulling away from the pillars

Anybody got a DIY for this? The trim shop wants to pull the covers off and re-do them, but I'm not crazy about the idea of them dinking around with the front curtain airbags.

Thanks in advance.

You can remove the a-pillar covers by removing that little strip that covers where the air bag would deploy and removing 3 screws. If here, you can either glue it back on yourself (maybe with 3M spray glue) or take it to a shop to re-upholster. The airbag itself would not be affected as it is just the cover that is coming off.

This is very common.

Either pull them off and re wrap them (which is super easy and you don't need to touch the airbags...

Or..

Just buy a new pillar. They're cheap on ECS tuning

My A and C pillars were doing that, so I just pulled the fabric off. Doesn't look OEM, by any means, but it's black and the material wont peel off anymore. Good enough for me.

AWESOME. Just went to ECS & bought the A's, C's and airbag inserts. Had no idea they were that cheap.

HUGE thank you!!

Go to ECS as M3ANMACHINE suggested. Less than $200 shipped for the A's, C's and the front airbag inserts.

Fair enough, more importantly though.. how much did all that material weigh?

J/k.

Glad someone posted this though, having the same issue and was worried about destroying an airbag.
