I love the old reviews... i have a HUGE pile of these in my attic. Eric you'd have a ball. gotta love the 928, but those numbers are ridiculous. Amazing how advanced cars have become. I'm scared to see what happens 10 years from now.

13.7 was fast for back then, however reading the end of the article they compare it to the 300Z for tons of money less... delivering similar performance .

I can't believe people were paying almost 80k for that car back in 1990! I supposed the modern comparison would be people buying any new CL class Mercedes.

It's no wonder BMW felt the need to make an 850 CSI miami

By the way, the 850i in that test was $91,017 in 1992, which is $150,339 in today's money

1989-1990 wasn't a great year for Porsche, because that was the year that the Nissan 300ZX Turbo was released and it offered > levels of performance & technology vs the 944 Turbo S and 928S4/GT for far less bucks..

I remember being in with the 928 GT/GTS growing up. I couldn't have cared any less for ugly frog eyed 911's back then.

Porsche needs a 928 successor more than it needs some ugly ass SUVs and family sedans

No other Porsche is more frog eyed than the 928 w/its headlights on.
