First time driving on VIR, got signed off to go solo and did a couple of 2:15 laps. Still left a lot on the track, will shoot for 2:10 or 2:08 next time.

Would love to see your pics. Which group/ car were you running in?

I've only been to two tracks, Nurburgring and VIR. Between the two, it is no comparison, the Ring gave me much more of an adrenaline rush. I memorized the 17 turns of VIR in one session and started smoking everyone else Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning. I was the fastest guy during the last session on Sunday (the solo run on youtube) by a long shot. The Ring took me a deployment (in Iraq) to memorize and I still drive it in my head each day. If they build this replica in Nevada, I'm retiring there!

Ok, yeah. I saw your sweet ride then. I came very close to getting the Z4 M coupe when I was shopping for a BMW back in 2006/2007. It came down to the 335i and Z4M and practicality won out. Its too bad students can't give student rides or I would love to ride with you to feel the difference in the cars.

I always say, this e92 M3 makes a zero into a hero because I had no business going that fast on my first weekend there on average street tires no less. It just gives you so much confidence because it is so balanced and predictable. Having driven an e92 (just over 1 for the 335, almost 4 for the m3) for ~5 yrs helps too because I know what the car is going to do in just about every situation.

The pics and video came out great. VIR is definitely a "must drive" track, totally worth a road trip. Let us know how your next event there goes. Big difference between 2:15 and 2:08.
