Do you know if the VF intake tube would work with the RMS aftercooler and Dinan/RMS bracket? It seems the VFE bracket is what limits people from stage II, but can that nifty VF intake tube be used? I think that piece really helps add to the OEM look of the SC kit.
oh no way on the dinan tune. the dinan tune is sufficent up to 9psi and thats it. Anything beyond 9psi will require 42lb/hr injectors, 3.5hfm and a new tune. I also have the UUC ltw flywheel and e34 M5 clutch, its been working well so far so when its not enough, its not enough. i'm not going to mess with it yet.

hhmmm that is a good question. to be completely honest, i have no idea. but looking at it

i dont see why it COULDNT work, but RMS makes an equivalent thermoplastic intake tube which would appear to work just as well, i mean my dinan intake tube works too

I would not assume the VFE thermoplastic will fit a Dinan or RMS kit. If you have the VFE part or can borrow it, by all means test fit it. But I would not buy one hoping it will fit -- I would buy the RMS one that definitely fits. The VFE and Dinan/RMS brackets locate the blower differently and clearance gets really tight in that corner of the engine bay.

No, none of the VF parts will work. The VF kit has the charger clocked completely different and not as deep into that corner as RMS/Dinan. You would need everything from the RMS or Dinan kit to make it work.

Thanks. I had a feeling they wouldn't match up, especially after taking a close look at how the s/c is oriented in there. Too bad.

Well ordered it but they are on back order so won't get it for a few weeks but doesn't really matter. Took me long enough to get around to ordering it though only like 3 years.

I significantly hacked the rear of my HID Depo to fit the RMS thermoplastic. It was sad at the time, but 4 years later I have gotten over it and the light is still working fine.

i bought extra backing plates to the HID's with the intention of hacking them up as well, only had to cut off a little but i fear my HID's will have the same fate as yours, oh well

building the oil cooler at the moment
rally road cap
AN10 fittings
braided lines
derale 180 degree thermo
cxracing heat exchanger (quality looks ok)

i thought about running a setrab core with a fan with a switch in the cabin but from what i've heard the oil coolers are very effective and will shed enough heat without the aid of a fan, but i'll monitor temps and add a fan at a later date if necessary. i'll probably end up upgrading the aftercooler heat exchanger at some point with the addition of a fan.
