Here is the link to what I'm looking at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M3-01-06...item5ae4745afb........
Anyone have an opinion on this company? Would you trust this product on your E46 M3?? |

dont buy cheap drilled rotors....they are prone to cracking
there are alot of aftermarket companies that sell quality parts at about that prices try akebono or stoptech pads...both are decent and reasonably priced.

According to the link, ROUNDED SLOTS ARE BETTER!
I'd stay away from eBay listings. Shell out the extra $$ for proven quality through one of our sponsors.

tirerack has good prices on known good products for M3's; check what they sell other places for better prices, but I'd not buy no-name ebay stuff.
If you read much here, you'll learn that cross-drilled, and drilled&slotted are: 1. largely for looks, they crack easier with hi-skilled/heavy track use 2. eat brake pads for breakfast. 3. wear faster than slotted or blanks 4. have no redeeming value, save street use in the rain. 5. are very touchy on the street at low speed 6. last, but not least, are pretty much the most cost-ineffective play you can make ADS

Do you really want to be cheap on something as important as brakes on your car? Go with something proven to work. Stoptech would be a great choice.

Oem rotors and pads are already great and proven performance, albeit there are many posts on Stoptech if you have money to waste

Lets face it, oem parts for this brake job are really high. I have another performance car and I always used quality aftermarket parts and they worked just fine. I'm not looking to track my car, I don't street race, I'm just looking for an inexpensive solution to getting my brakes done. I just don't see the harm in using aftermarket parts. From what I gather, the front rotors are the most important part...

Unfortunately, the aftermarket world caters to this mentality for BMW's (especially the M cars and the "M tax"). While there are some great non-BMW parts out there, there also are a ton of aftermarket parts I wouldn't want within 100 yards of my M3, let alone bolted on. ![]() Mike |
