I just purchased a 2008 M Coupe. I got the car about three days ago. I absolutely love it. I had been toying around with the idea of a "new" car. And after about 6 years of not having AC in my S50 converted 318i I finally had the opportunity to purchase a newer car.

It came down between either an e46 M3 or M coupe/roadster. My brother had a very fast e46 m3 and I loved it (Phoenix Yellow, Brembo mono-blocks on all four corners, Evosport Headers and pulleys, software, BSS LM's, and ground control suspension). My cousin also just recently bought a 2004 M3 (almost stock).

I craved for something different, but knew it had to be S54 powered. I found the car on craigslist. I went to go see it and fell in love with it, although I had driven the M Roadster a week earlier. The coupe was the right choice for me.

The car has 40,500 miles, Space gray with black leather/carbon interior. The car also has an RPI exhaust which makes some pretty glorious noise, as well as skid plates and air scoop.

I really don't plan on to many mods, maybe a short throw shifter and genuine CSL wheels in the future.

My 2c on shifter mods: ZHP knob is a cheap and easy improvement (though you will probably punch yourself in the face, it's worth it).

However, the absolute best thing to improve shifter feel is upgrading the transmission mounts. I deleted the CDV and tbh didn't notice much difference. Added RE trans mounts w/ enforcer cups, and can't say enough at how much of an improvement they are. They are relatively cheap as well.
