Default what could this be?

every time i get out of the car, there is scritching noise coming out from rear driver side tire where the shocks are. could be my shocks or bushings. or something that might need to be lubricated. has any one had that issue?

I had the same issue with my previous E46. Try letting the parking brake off on a level surface and get in and out a few times to see if thats the problem. I never did find a fix for the issue but at least you know its nothing major.

+1. Was going mention to try this. Mine does this too. If you don't hear any noise after trying you may want to concider replacing the parking brake shoes are have them adjusted.

My '87 635csi did the same thing!
If that is your problem, you can try engaging the E-brake a little bit while driving to rub off some of the rust.
