Default E36 bro. could use some E30 help

Hello all. I own a 99 m3, but I have had many E30s in the past. All of my friends still come to me for average E30 help. The other day my buddy got an '88. He was looking at mine and asked where my mech. fan went. I told him about the delete kit I got from understeer. We looked into doing his and I'm unable to find anything on it. So, I can easily get an 80 thermostat, and the only other thing really needed is a lower temp radiator fan switch. Seeing that his car has the older 2 prong 90/99 switch, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me about another switch from another model that would fit? I need it to be a 80/88 if possible. Thanks for any/all help.

So, nobody can answer this? Thank god the car has been getting other things fixed and not driven. But we are about to put this thing back together. What about just upgrading to an e36 radiator? Can that be done? Any write ups would be great. Thanks.

Not sure about M cars but i know that the e36 rad fits in the e30 engine space. I did a m50 swap into a e30 325 and it was fine. i didn't do a fan switch but

Okay great, that is what I need to know. Any particular models needed as the e36 donor, or just about any of them? Do the hoses match up or will I have to custom plumb it? Thanks.

The stock cooling system for the S14 is more than adequate even when upgraded to a 2.5. Why do you want to modify it?

I am trying to do a fan delete for a friend. I couldn't find the 80/88 fan switch for the old style connector. (tell me of one if you know). So, we were thinking of going to an e36 radiator so that we can get that switch.

I have fan delete on my e30. You should be able to go to Pelican and order the fan switch. I am using the aug fan as a pusher. No problems. Although I am thinking of putting a SPAL on.

Dan, great!!! Is there any chance you could look up the part number for me from some of your paperwork? The switch I used on my e36 is: 61 31 8 376 440
( I know that doesn't work for e30, just giving it for reference). So far, we just put it back together without the mech. fan on it. But, we really haven't driven the car at all, just still working through other things...... like injectors. Yay, fun...
