Default Westchester Valve Adjustment Guru

I bought my M with the understanding that Inspection II was overdue, of course that was 4k ago.

Throughout the time i've been sourcing information, tools, and recommendations in order to perform the inspection myself, or perhaps alongside a local enthusiast.
I recently met a great dude, member: xm p0w3rx
We met at school, a little small talk, we both drive LSB E46's and i came to find out he is a very honest, and knowledgeable guy in terms of these awesome cars we all love.

We set aside a full day to get a few things done, since we didn't really plan to get EVERY single thing on the list done in one day !

So today we tackled
1: Valve Adjustment
2: Oil Change
3: E-Brake Adjustment

Dan is a great dude and charged a super reasonable rate, especially in comparison to the quotes i have gotten. My motor made a mild ticking sound before we started, and actually has become much more responsive in each gear, and overall much quieter.

Luckily my valves weren't too far out of spec, but with all the right tools its good to know how far off you are.
If you're in the White Plains/Hudson Valley/Bronx/ Danbury area and feel somewhat hesitant to adjust those valves yourself, i would highly recommend Dan.
He did a thorough job and i learned a few things along the way too, very down to earth dude, simply happy to be working on a bimmer.
Next week i will prob work alongside him and swap out my transmission fluid, diff fluid, bleed the brakes, and hopefully bushings all throughout.

PM him since he would more than likely answer your questions better than i can haha, but don't be shy!

I took a pic of the valves as soon as opened the case, and the shim kit.

Hope this helps all the guys complaining about dishonest indy shops !

Cheers.

Met up with Dan this morning to do my oil change. Im very skeptical as to where I bring my car since its lowered as a lot of places arent drop friendly. Dan had ramps and everything needed to lift my car without tapping anything. Very friendly guy to deal with and his prices are extremely reasonable. Finally we have our very own Tongi here in Westchester. Dan will be doing my valve adjustment along with a few other things within the next 2 Sundays. I look forward to it.

Dan carefully lifting the car. Notice his custom made ramps.
