Default Help finding a battery

Hello, I have a 2002 M3 convertible I need a new battery for. I'm not looking to modify my trunk at all to get it to fit or anything...so I prefer with the stock one. Apparently, getbmwparts.com stopped shipping batteries, it was going to be 143 bucks. The stealership wants 179.99 for a new one. Seems like a rip-off. My battery is almost 9 years old and is only putting out 69 cca lol. Need one really soon. Any help is appreciated.

Advance Auto, Sears, Costco... they all sell batteries that would fit.

You sure about that? For a convertible? The only I know of is the Duralast battery that still doesn't quite fit the convertible...

Part #'s?

I wasnt aware that the convertible had a different battery than the coupes. Are you sure about that? You could prolly just goto Advance and see if it fits. If not, just return it.

Advance:
AutoCraft Gold Battery, Group Size 94R, 730 CCA
Part No. 94RH7

AutoZone:
Gold-Duralast/Battery
Part Number: 94R-DLG

Both above are roughly $150. So for $30 if that gives you piece of mind for perfect fitment, then just buy from the stealership.

Or goto Costco and lookup any group 94R battery.

Or goto MINI dealer and get the CSL battery. It's the same as a 05 Mini Cooper S battery and u save about 11lbs.
