Default 1991 e30 M3 Brillantrot/Black low mileage

For Sale: in Dallas TX 1990 E30M3 Brillantrot/Black (92,000 miles) clean title/clean carfax great condition $21,500 or best offer.

I am not the owner of this car, I am listing this car for my older brother who is not a member of this forum but I know almost everything about this car.

This is my brother's listing:

I purchased the car in June of 2008 with approximately 90,800 miles from a fellow enthusiast who was meticulous with his maintenance and modifications. The odometer now shows 91,650 miles; I have put less than 1000 miles over the last 2 years (I was overseas when I purchased the vehicle sight unseen). I believe I am the third owner of this beautiful car. The car was stored in a garage and under a cover while I was away and was driven on occasion by my brother or myself once a month. The reason I am selling this car is because I returned to Dallas in October of last year after working overseas and purchased a Porsche 996 and now have too many toys and no time for classic cars. I also have an ‘88 M I daily driver which I plan to hold onto for a while. This M was the fourth e30M in our family and I hate to see it go. This beautiful low mileage ‘90 M3 needs a new home.

I purchased the car from a BMW enthusiast who owned it for about 8 years. It was originally purchased in Baton Rouge Louisiana in May of 1991. I have the original window sticker and sales registration, owner’s manual and radio manual. I have a lot of records and receipts going back to 2001 when the last owner purchased the car. The previous owner put a lot of time and money into this car. I believe the car has lived its entire life in Dallas Texas and Baton Rouge Louisiana, I would be surprised if this car has ever seen snow. This is a NON RUST car, it is in great shape and all panels have original VIN decals. It has only the best quality modifications i.e. headwork, software/chip, cams, suspension and a few others. The previous owner had a dyno run in 2004 with healthy results of 184 whp /164 wtq.

Good Things
2003 Stage II VAC MOTORSPORTS performance head with HP valve springs ($2,650)
264 Dynosport Intake cam (http://dynospotracing.com/charts/E30_M3_EvoCam23L.html
Water pump and Thermostat replaced
Dynosport Racing/GIAC Chip (for cams)
Bilstein Shocks / Ireland Engineering stg III race springs
Evosport strut brace
Clutch (2002)

Known issues:
Rear spoiler has normal cracks
Stereo turns on but no sound. I have original head unit.
Three issues with seats, rear passenger needs stitching and minor seam rot (see pictures)
Interior sunroof headliner needs to be reattached
Small crack on plastic cluster screen. (see pictures)
Front driver’s fender has dent looks like something fell on it???
Driver roof pillar chip maybe from same mishap ???
Chip on roof towards rear
Rear driver-side fender, minor door ding
Re-spray on front bumper and fenders, not really sure to what extent, but no filler anywhere.
Clean carfax zero flood or accident reported (pulled 5/10)

Body:
All original body panels in excellent condition a few dings but no filler. Glass is all OEM BMW, wind screen has a few chips but no runners. All external plastics and gaskets good to very good condition. All locks and handles work. Wheels are straight and very clean .

Interior:
Leather in very good to excellent for a 20 year old -- including driver's seat, two small issues with rear seat easy fix.
No cracks in any plastic - dash, doors, etc. Door panels in excellent condition. Carpet in very good to excellent condition for 20 years. BMW floor mats in good condition. Trunk mat clean and excellent condition, tool kit complete. All electrical controls work as designed. Sunroof works fine but needs the headliner reattached.

Mechanical:
Previous owner was a DIY and took very good care of the car. Fires on first crank, Idles smooth, runs very good and really comes alive at 4500 RPM’s and pulls strong all the way to redline. Shifts smoothly, brakes hard and straight handles well. The assets of this car are low miles, no rust and quality modifications. In my opinion, probably the best color combination for the e30M3.

I am not under any pressure to sell this car.
Super clean examples with low mileage (50-70k) are selling for over $30k. Solid cars like this one are in the mid twenties. Good running daily drivers with 175k plus miles are selling for mid teens. Good running daily drivers with salvage titles are selling for $10,000. Rollers without motors are at $5000.

I have tried to provide as much information as possible and happy to answer any questions. Please send me an email or pm for additional pics and a spreadsheet of the 50 plus receipts totaling over $9k. This fine example is yours for $21,500 or best offer. I will consider a trade or deal for a low mileage 2007 or newer BMW X3 (no other vehicles) with warranty. I will not trade for an X3 that has been in the northern states. I need a daily driver, too many toys!

If anyone goes to Cars and Coffee in Plano Texas I will be there with the car for the December gathering.
