So this is my BMW E46 M3 2002 for 2010 track season. I'm preparing the car for lapping & Time Attack purpose this year.

So here is the evolution of the project from january 2010:
01/18/2010 Looks like a thief recovery car! ![]() ![]() 02/01/2010 -I clean a bit the engine bay and removed things like the EGR air-pump, plastic trims, ducts,... ![]() I installed a Vorsteiner carbon fiber hood ![]() ![]() ![]() Also put a CSL carbon fiber trunk ![]() Install Bimmerworld carbon fiber brake ducts and some CSL front splitters replica ![]() I removed the sunroof and installed the carbon fiber sunroof from Ebay, fitment is not perfect but will live with that ![]() Install a Kirk 4 point roll bar ![]() Here is the Jaffster delrin shift knob Also removed the sound deadning ![]() 02/15/2010 Playing with the wiring harness... ![]()

I did some custom aluminium dash block off plate cause i removed the heater control, radio, ... ![]() - Braille Battery 11Lbs VS Mini/CSL 36Lbs ![]() ![]() -New Clutch Master FQ300 with lightweight flywheel ![]() ![]() -OMP Corsica Superleggero 350mm suede ![]() -Installing the CF sunroof delete skin ![]() Here is my APR GTC-300, need to do some custom brackets to fit to the car and not to the trunk. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 02/24/2010 Dash is back into the car ![]() ![]() ![]() 03/23/2010 Installed the Spal 16" pusher fan with customs brackets ![]() Changed heim joints on the swaybars links and now need to put new 3" brake duct hose ![]() Stoptech BBK 355mm all around will make a nice difference from oem setup, can't wait to try that mods. ![]() Installing the new clutch and flywheel ![]() ![]() Switch from Turner swaybars to Ground Control ![]() Change the alternator also ![]() And the kind of parts people put on my car when i'm not there... ![]()

Great project, I love seeing e46 M's go from daily to full track. A road that I will hopefully be going down soon.
One question I have though is how are you gonna mount the wing? Everyone I have spoke to says that the V CSL carbon fiber trunk is to thin to mount any wing to.

The carbon fiber skin on the top of the trunk is so thin you can barely see throught... No way a wing would stay fix to it at 100mph. I will make custom bracket to mount it similar to that car, i will have to remove the wing to open the trunk. ![]()
