Default gm5 module issues

Problem: My passenger vent window would not close. I checked the switch with a meter and it was good. I then reversed the wires on the motor and now it would close but not open. So I then started doing some research and found that the gm5 module controls the doors and windows with relays. These relays are not serviceable without being able to solder in a new relay. Plus you must find a place to get these special little relays.

Resolution: I found a website called http://www.bmwgm5.com/ and Scott is the person who does the work on the gm5. I found all the information I need there to help me make sure I had the right problem. I then sent Scott an email and told him my problem and he agreed that it could be the relays. I then removed the gm5 from above the glove box and shipped it off. I shipped it via ups on Monday and Scott got it on Wednesday. Scott then soldered in new relays and sent it back same day via usps. I got the module back Saturday and installed. Now my vent window opens and closes. The cost was much cheaper than going to the stealer and getting a new gm5 and have it programmed.

I want to say thanks to Scott and thanks for all the information on http://www.bmwgm5.com/. This guy is top notch and did a great job. if any of you have problems with the relays on the gm5 then send it to Scott and he can fix it up.
