About this time last summer i decided i was going to sell my heavily modified 240sx to get into M3's. There wasnt a single part on this car that wasnt touched i believe. It was fully tuned here in Chicago, AMS Performance. It made great power, 650whp on pump gas.. It was powered by the RB26DETT from an R32 GT-R. ![]() ![]() ![]() It was a solid car, but very VERY high maintainence, and i just didnt have the time or patience to deal with it at that time. sold that last October i think it was and began my search for an M3. I went through a few different color preferences. First i was looking for an alpine white w/ cinnamon interior, then moved to an LSB over black, and finally to Imola/Imola. In December i finally found the car i was looking for. It was 2002 Imola/Imola M3, SMG, Premium Package, PDC, 79k miles, HK sound system, Titanium Shadow trim, Bi-Xenons. I first planned to get a set of BBS LM's last summer when i decided i was going to start the search.. but that was before i discovered what a CSL was not far into searching. here is some pictures of when i first got it: (blue corner bulbs have since been replaced by orange) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

After i did the trims i decided i wanted a slight drop for my car. i decided to go with the eibachs. the eibachs had the least amount of drop but it was just what i was looking for. install went smooth, bit longer than expected, but was worth it. these feel just like factory, i noticed no difference in ride quality, harshness, or bounciness.
![]() Some pics the day after the Eibach install: ![]() ![]() I wanted to order the new CSL reps in 19x8.5 +40 and 19x10 +25 in the super silver finish wheels when they arrived: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this review was very helpful when searching for information on these tires: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=256037 i ordered the michelin pilot sport a/s plus from discounttire, final sizes were: -245/35/19 -285/30/19 i then decided i want to get a set of spacers. i decided to go with the +10mm macht schnell kit from EAS. these pictures have the +10mm front spacer fitted. here is some pictures with everything installed: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() playing with white balence: ![]() ![]() im really happy with how the wheel/tire/spacer/drop setup turned out.

thank you!
my leather steering wheel has been driving me crazy because it was so shiney from use. i recently found this thread: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=270389 my steering wheel has a nice matte finish to it along with everything else. and all of this stuff was REALLY shiney before hand. i did all of this with 1 sponge, but i should have just used 2 as it kept falling apart. this stuff really does work great and i suggest you try it. before..glossy: ![]() ![]() after..matte: ![]() ![]() thats all i have for now. next update should be the vcsl bumper installation/installed!

thanks for the good words guys.
ive read both of your threads countless times and youve motivated me to start my own. you guys both have one of my favorite cars on the forum and its nice to see your build with what you started out with, etc. im looking forward to looking back on my own and see how it has evolved as well. LED tails are definatly up there on the list
