Default Edwin's E30 S50B32 HPDE Car

chasis has approx 175K on the clock. the car already came with

'95 euro e36 m3 motor (approx 70k miles)
zf 5 speed tranny
brake cooling ducts feeding into the center of the rotors
Bilstein shocks
Vorshlag camber plates
Sparco front strut bar
Ireland swaybar
a/c heater core delete
custom cat-less exhaust with e36 m3 eisenmann muffler
K&N intake
SPAL electric fan
Z3 shifter kit

my initial plan was to strip out the whole interior, remove the sunroof, and install a custom welded roll cage. someone had expressed interest in my car, so i decided to keep it somewhat street friendly for now.

received an aftermarket evo3 spoiler with flap from germany the same day i took delivery of the car. very high quality, but no oem of course. just couldn't cough out $1400 for oem piece (the oem flap is not even CF)

got it back from the paint shop the night before the first track day. so had to install it half way through the track day

Nitto NT01, my first r comp...on 17" kosei e36 spec...so i have to run 18mm spacers. coming from tracking street tires, these r comps got awfully good grip the car doesn't have traction control and yet still felt very planted and grabbing on every corner

Love the car and the color. How does it feel with the Euro motor. Any In car footage?

thanks!

it's a beast! it has about the same power to weight ratio as my s/c e46. except the e30 has stock 2.93 diff, so it "felt" slow accelerating out of a corner. i had a 3.73 LSD diff, but it was way too aggressive. i'm in a search for a 3.25 LSD diff.

no footage so far. i've only took it to track once. i discovered i had a PS hose leak and SS brake line leak on the track, so it wasn't that good of a run anyway. my new roll bar should be here soon then i can paint it and install it and fit it with IO camera mount

with that much power on such light car, more powerful brakes are needed. problem is most bbk makers (brembo, stoptech, ap, etc) only make front kit for the e30. i wanted bolt-on kit for all 4 corners, and didnt' want to scavenge parts from other cars for the rear. so i got Lee's Massive Brake kit (www.massivebrakes.com). Lee has his shop build the custom caliper brackets and rotor hat, and uses wilwood rotor and caliper.

also fitted with vorshlag 90mm competition wheel studs

front: 6pot SL6R caliper 300mm x 32mm slotted rotors
rear: 4pot SL4R caliper 300mm x 32mm slotted rotors

just finished this latest mod yesterday...somewhat. i replaced recaro srd (came with the car) with recaro profi spg (bought from forum member ninekrpm, thanks again, buddy!). so i ended up buy the whole seat mounting kit from VAC motorsports.

i order the kit with floor mount, side mount and sliders, but the kit came without the sliders they are going to send the sliders next week, but i just can't wait any longer. so i decided to install the seats without sliders for now, and take them apart once the sliders are here.

from this:

to this:

also installed NRG quick release hub, thin version. was gonna get the black one, but ordered the blue one by mistake but it's all good, i suppose.
