Default weight for misc. parts please...

Hello all,

Some of you might remember my thread a little over a month ago about getting hit by a dunk driver going the wrong way down the road... anyways, im going to be getting my new M3 tomorrow. Flying up to Connecticut to pick it up and drive it back down to Charleston. The thing is, he has a lot of extra parts that come with the car from what modifications that are coming with the car. I found that the cheapest way for me to get these parts back down to Charleston is to freight ship it through UPS. The only thing is, they need estimated weight for everything. I have no idea what these parts weigh. If anyone knows the weight of these parts that are listed, or know a website that they can direct me to I would greatly appreciate it.

-OEM heated front seats
-4 OZ Ultraleggera wheels with tires
-OEM rear muffler and section 2
-OEM shocks, springs, and sways
-Pagid yellow brake pads
-OEM rear diffuser

any info is appreciated THANKS!!!!

John

You can take the tires in the car... three across the backseat, one in the boot. I would take anything else you can fit in the car (pads, shocks/springs). Shipping is going to cost you more than you think. It's the size of the items as much as the weight. Those seats and the muffler/sec-II are not going to be cheap.

Do you need all the extra parts? They may not be worth the expense of shipping. The OZ wheels can be useful and as mentioned can be stowed in the car. The OEM muffler is meh if you have a better one on. Same with the shocks. What are in the front seats now? If you're happy with them, I say leave the OEM seats. Other small things should fit in the trunk or front seat. Sorry can't help with the weight. OZ wheels probably weigh under 25 lb each, depending on the type.

I suspect you could fit everything except for the seats into the car with some careful packing.
