Default 95 M3 Transmission Slipping

I just got my 1995 M3 (115k miles) back from the shop... they replaced the tensioner and the serpentine belt, along with a vacuum hose. As I'm driving away, going from 2nd to 3rd gear, the engine revs high while shifting... 'slips'... i guess you could say (first time ever happened)... I take it back to the shop.. they confirm the tranny fluid is full.. and that it smells fine (nothing burnt)... no tranny leaks... no codes / faults in either the transmission control unit or the computer.. and proceed to tell me to take it the dealership...

What the heck could of happened to make my transmission start slipping? It only seems to do on normal/slow acceleration... aggressive acceleration it works fine... and it doesn't do it all the time... but sometimes slightly and sometimes very harsh... PLEASE HELP!!

So...

Transmission has never slipped before...car goes to shop...now transmission slips?

Does it do this in all modes?

I don't believe a manual would have a transmission control unit (nor would it be slipping)

His clutch can be slipping, if auto's slipping then it would definitely throw a code that can be pulled. Usually it'll be torque converter lockup and slippage.

It's an auto. Put it in D and drive. Don't shift it yourself.

If you want to shift it yourself, get a manual transmission.

Auto tranny's in these cars even without the Dinan tranny chip will shift pretty firm with very, very small lag. Are you seeing your transmission light come up at all? Looks like a gear with a (!) inside.

I hate having shops do ****. Things like this might occur and it's hard to tell if your getting honest work or not less you've known em for years or something.

Did they test drive it to see what you're experiencing?

A sketchy place will push u away since they probably don't know how to diagnose, just change parts.

+1111111 Seen many ppl destroy transmissions doing this, not saying there is a right or wrong way but it is not good in the long run of it's life.

If makes it far
