Hi, my passenger door HK speaker sounds blown (no idea how this happened) and am wondering if anyone knows how much this will cost to replace. Its appears that I'd have to take apart the inside of the door to get to it. Is this easy to do or should I have a stereo place do it?
I'm trying to determine whether I should look for a used HK speaker or just get a new set of speakers. Also debating whether to DIY or pay to get it done. Any help would be appreciated. |

Can anyone tell me if a blown speaker would be covered under factory warranty?

I'd reccomend going with BSW. For $600 you can replace every speaker in your car, and it'll sound noticeably better than stock.

i recommend replacing both yourself with new aftermarket components. Besides better sound, the other speakers are likely on their way out too. There are plenty of instructions all over this and other forum. On a 1 to 10 difficulty scale (1 is changing a tire & 10 is SMG repair), i would rate this a 2.
