Autoweek is almost always correct when it's Autoweek vs. salesperson. In fact, probably the norm is M3F members being correct over Service Advisors and Salespeople. On average they really are that bad.

First, the old/current Z4 M coupe has more space in it's engine bay that you could probably put to S54s in there. No joke, there is a lot of room. (or maybe you didnt know there was already a Z4M by the wording you chose).

Second, The new Z4 looks like it has just as long a front end if not longer so it should fit in my personal opinion.

If you had read your BMW mags you would have read the same thing...

BMW confirmed back in March they will not be building a new Z4M due to many issues...

Economics, lack of demand, lack of a sufficient motor in production, lack of funding to list a few...

As for the turbo M3, BMW discussed that in March as well. Perhaps you should read more?

the e92 M3 has a 4.0L v8

the e60 M5 has a 5.0L v10

it is a 4L v8, over a hundred hp per litre.

you may have the s65 and s85 confused, since the s85(e60 m5) is 5L

The new V8 will be more compact (lengthwise) then the I6 so why wouldn't it fit? I doubt the engine bay is an issue, its just a matter of time for the M division to get their hands on a Z4 and to their thing.

Now that they are done with that stupid X5/6 M hopefully they will move on to this project.
