Autoweek is almost always correct when it's Autoweek vs. salesperson. In fact, probably the norm is M3F members being correct over Service Advisors and Salespeople. On average they really are that bad.

the e92 M3 has a 4.0L v8 the e60 M5 has a 5.0L v10

it is a 4L v8, over a hundred hp per litre.
you may have the s65 and s85 confused, since the s85(e60 m5) is 5L *edit- beat me to it;[ |
