Default PROBLEM! Navigation Update

I wanted to update my Nav software in my 2003 e46 M3....So I download the v31 software and burnt it to a CD-R. Inserted the the cd in my nav and now my Nav screen is completely Black! I took the cd out and put the Navigation cd in and still nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Did I fry my Nav system? Help Please.

No you didn't fry the navi. More than likely you had a bad copy of the updated firmware in which the BMW navi is very finicky. I had the same exact problem with my update. My screen went blank as well. I went ahead and burned another copy of the updated version with "alchol" software as many users have experience positive results with this. Good luck and keep us posted.

Im not very good when it comes these computer things. I even took a big chance by even thinking that I can make this update work and now all I have is a blank screen. radio works but cant see anything on the screen. IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN SEND A DISC THAT IS ALREADY BURNT SO I DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH UNZIPING THE FILES CORRECTLY... I DONT WANT TO DAMAGE THE NAVI EVEN MORE. I WILL PAY YOU. Please let me know what information you need from me. All I know is that I have a 2003 e46 M3 with a MKIV (DVD) Nav system. I wanted the newest software. THANKS
