Default An alarm System question

I hope you all are doing good

I am getting my M3 hopefully in a couple of weeks ( i really can't wait) and was wondering if it comes with a factory installed Alarm System. If not do you guys have any recommendations??

I am just getting a bit too worried, wouldnt wana get my car stolen or something like that, i haven't heard much about car thefts in my area but i guess better safe than sorry, and with a car like this I bet i'll be really really sorrrrry lol.

Thanx for the input though

I live in a student city, I really doubt being jacked, i know i'll get a couple of scratches, i was considering the 3M Scotchguard to atleast minimize that. But for safety sake i was just thinking of the Alarm.

It really gets me worried but i guess that's wat you get when u buy an M3 lol

It will be jacked in less than a week if you live in the city like me. I recommend indoor parking if possible. My dealer also threw in wheel locks. I'm not sure if they prevent anything.
M3s do not come with an alarm - only keyless entry and/or Comfort Access.

Nope, baffles the mind.

OEM is best, this coupled with Assist tracking will keep the M3 pretty safe. Alarm siren is mounted underneath the D/S rear wheel liner, the proximity sensor is in the headliner.

it sure does lol you end up paying close to $70+ and end up with no hard security but i guess that's wat the garage is for and for all others have fun satying tense and hoping to wake up in the morning with you're car still outside lol

By the way this might sound stupid but may i ask what do u mean by OEM, if its a manufacturer may i ask what does it stand for? and the Assist tracking is included witht he package (the car that is) isnt it (it better be other wise its a mess lol)??

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer, in this case is BMW.

This is an BMW approved accessory installed by BMW after delivery. Along with installation, it will need to be activated.

I'm not sure about the scotchguard, it would be best to ask your local dealer about that.
