Default Gas pedal removal?

How do I remove the gas pedal without breaking it off of it's base? I was able to disconnect it from the upper metal linkage but not at the base. I unclipped the little "switch" at the back of the pedal, but it doesn't budge. Can anyone help me out here?

Instalation of aluminum ///M pedals. The bottom right allen bolt sits flush against the inside of the plastic pedal, can't fit the dremmel in there to cut that piece out so the nut and washer will fit on...

no need to remove the gas pedal... if you cant get that bolt to fit, just skip it..

you can't get the gas pedal out without removing the carpet, and you dont want to do that.

well its more than just that corner....the alen nuts provided are tiny and a pita to put on to begin with and on the gas pedal it has a more honeycomb type backside than the brake/clutch so you cant really get them on correctly anyway unelss i have better access...ill try and take the top piece off in hopes it will rotate backwards toward me.

also having one nut/bolt off will drive me crazy even if i'm the only one who knows or see's it.

-thx for the reply
