Default First to complete VFE Stage II (DIY) Install

OK I'm not sure if anyone else beat me but since no one has posted I'm going to assume I'm the first Stage II completed DIY install.

FINISHED!

Still adapting ECU but so far it looks good. I chased down a modded C6 Corvette today that had a 5 car head start and easily passed. I made my wife wet her pants on the way home from dinner so I think I'm getting some compressed air in. What I want to know is how I can get the 500 + rwhp you are getting. Just race fuel?

Congrats!

Are you still running the OEM clutch? Any plans for an upgrade?

How about the rear subframe reinforcement?

I'm holding off upgrading to stage 2 until I get these things done. I already have plans to get the rear subframe reinforcement sometime in the next few weeks. I already have a clutch/flywheel/pressure plate combo I'm going to run, just not installed yet.

I have not upgraded the clutch yet but that is inevitable. I'm running the shift mode lower for now to avoid issues until I figure out which clutch to get. I have not reinforced the subframe. I've been told the fix is the same before or after failure so for now I'm on the sidelines. I've done everything else tho - brakes, headers, cats, exhaust, etc, etc.. I have Powerflex RTABS in my trunk that need to go in, oh and a good radar detector.

That is my plan. Actually when I bought the M5 it was depressing to drive the M3 since it seemed so slow by comparison. One of my best friends has a modded M5 and is pretty nervous about being beat by a M3. He's talking to Dinan about a $40K stroker motor so he can keep up. I hope Steve Dinan at least calls to thank me.
