Paypal has buyer protection. Its best to send funds as a product / service if the seller is not verified funds are held until pay pal verifies item been delivered. If the item been cleared they will take the funds out of the sellers bank or cc.

This sounds wonderful, but in reality it's a load of BS.

Your only protection from a scammer if you use Paypal is from your credit card issuer and their insurance, and you only get that if you tack on the 3% surcharge (as opposed to doing what I used to do and paying from my bank account since I was not using credit). I was one of several dozen people that were scammed on something small (~$150) and people banded together to find the girl, her full address, employer, and everything, and all Paypal did was close her account. They didn't go after her or refund a dime to anyone. They don't give a **** about anyone.

(I could go on for an hour about the way they treat the customers in other ways too... not good.)

Exclamation Re: ************Beware of scammers*************

Watch out bidding on eBAY for cars advertised in the Aberdeen / Dundee area in Scotland. I put a deposit on an '05 M3 convertible which was a cat D. Once he had recieved the money i never heard from him again......

A few weeks later a friend of mine pointed out another listing on eBAY which read "BMW MINI MERCEDES RANGE RANGE ROVER SPORT UNRECORDED FLOOD DAMAGE NON RUNNER SCAM?????

I rang the number on the listing and spoke to an irate man called john who had been had for £300 deposit on a BMW mini, he had many calls from people like myself who had fallen for the same scam.... One man had sent over 8k for a damaged rangerover sport after winning it and it never arrived, others had turned up in aberdeen with a trailer only to find themselves at a hairdressers..

WATCH OUT.... DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING BEFORE ENSURING IT ACTUALLY EXISTS FIRST!!
