Default koni shocks...

I'm interested in getting a set of Koni shocks...I just wanted to know if they will lower the car even more once i get them installed?
right now i'm using just H&R springs with the stock shocks (I know..shouldn't do that)

thanks in advance.

you should be able to add another 3/4"-1" lower to your springs. There are some slots on the shocks to place the rings to which the cup looking thing that holds the springs are placed. They also have a purpose, like normal to sport. The lower the rings the stiffer the ride.

I don't see were the FSD's are available for the M3. Site just brings up the yellows.

Yellows are what is available, I got H+R sport first and then Koni shocks later, the shocks are great but lowering springs are only OK, they feel unresponsive, I will sell my stuff and buy coilovers. I think you should do the same and then you have height adjustment too.

lower ride does not yield stiffer springrates

I don't think the FSDs for regular e46s will fit. As between FSDs and yellows, I'm on the fence. I have FSDs in my M5 and yellows in my M3 (since I didn't have a choice). The FSDs seem set stiffer than you would set the yellows for street driving and make up for it by having that FSD valve that reacts softer for sharp bumps. But undulating roads make the car go up and down to follow the contours of the road more than a car with yellows set on a softer setting. My M3 will soak up the undulations (they're set a 1/4 turn from full soft) but the M5 will follow them. The M5 still rides relatively well and handles great, however. IMHO, the yellows are a must to tame the buckboard like ride of the M3, but that's just personal preference. I don't track my M3, and it's a convertible.
