Default BMW dealer in Tijuana

I wanted to share with San Diego M3 owners my experiance with having my M3 serviced down there. I would think that most of you woud not even consider taking your M3 across the border, even less having someone downthere get their hands inside the hood of your M3. I was hesitant myself to take my car there and have them look into the "service engine soon" light, however I was very impressed with the level of client service (more personalized) and technical knowledge. It turned out that it was the gas cap, as ususal, and only charged me the standard fee of $55 vs. the $130 from SD dealers. Since then, I've had them do other things like the replacement of the window regulator, harmon kardon tweeter, xenon headlight retrofit, and other minor things. They usualy have the work done the same day, and if not 'till the following day depending on the complexity of the work. I am about to do the inspection II and it will be about $900-$1100 vs the $1700 I was quoted at Cunningham.

Their price on parts it's more or less the same, but savings are in the labor.

The dealer is very close to the border, I would say 2-5 min. I am not sure how fluent they are in English but I'm sure they have someone how woud talk to you if you do not speak spanish.

To those of you who may be interested I will post their phone number and address shortly.

How is the drive? TJ has pretty bad roads, is the dealership closer to the 5 or 905 border crossing?

BMW Tijuana was established I beleive in 1999. The drive to the dealer it's not bad at all. The strees and avenues in Zona Rio, where the dealer is at, are in normal conditions. This is the nicest part of town. A soon as you cross the border, you'll take a freeway (via poniente) and drive for about 2 miles south. The dealer is right off the freeway. Here's their phone number in case you would like quotes on parts or labor. 01152.664.6333595, they only have two service reps, Oscar and Maribel.
