If you got the pin through this far, the carrier is lined up as much as it's gonna get. Make sure the locking clip on the pin is pointing all the way up and clears the case. That could be what's hanging you up.
Not much room up there. I had a small brass hammer that i turned to it's side and tapped the pin the rest of the way in. Patience. This is definitely the hardest part of the install. It'll be well worth it. |

Same here it is currently up on front jack stands in my drive way and has been since about 9am yesterday. I have the clip up so that it clears so that isn't the issure. I might see if I can get something up there that I can swing and see if I can knock it through I mean it only has to go like 1/4" more.

w000000000000000000000000000t. Got it in and the metal clip down. I ended up using my pry bar and putting the end of it on the end of the pin and hitting my pry bar with a hammer. Took quite a few hits but it slowly went the last 1/4". Now its all down hill like the install guide says.

haha- i remember that step. i stopped the first day after messing with it for 2+ hours...and it took me another 2 hours at the start of the 2nd day. i was cheering and singing once the pin finally went through.

I'll be the first to admit it ... I 'wrote the check' for this install ...
You'll be very pleased with the outcome, however, my Autosolutions is one of the best driving mods I've done on the gal. Mr. Hayes Last edited by hayesMpower; Tue, Jul-17-2007 at 07:24:51 PM. |

Finally got it. I made the tip (last 3mm) of the pin a little more angular with my dremel and tapped it in with ease.
I will I had paid to get this install done ![]() I've installed everything I have on my car other than clear bra, and this was by far the worst
