Default FS: SF - e46 M3 vividracing/ksport 36 Way Adjustable Coilovers

Ran these on my 04 M3 for roughly 4k miles over a period of 4 months or so - mostly daily commuting and fun weekend trips up in the twisties. Had them professionally installed and aligned and these really are an excellent value for the money. Decided to get them removed since I need the funds for other things more important.

Vivid Racing and Ksport collaberated on the development to bring these to market. Below is their description, along with photos of the like new condition of the actual coilovers and of my car and a buddies, both with identical ksport coilover setups.

Asking $825 or best offer...I dont need them collecting dust! Vivid Racing is selling them for $1050+tax, shipping etc...

Possible trade for new or close to new PS2's or T1-Rs in 235 or 245 Fr & 265 or 275 Rr

Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilovers BMW E46 M3 00-05

Ksport Kontrol Pro Fully Adjustable Coilover Kits provide the ultimate in suspension technology for your street or track car. 36 levels of dampening adjustment allow you to fine tune the ride to your handling and comfort needs. The dampening adjusts compression and rebound simultaneously for ease of adjustment. Pillow ball top mounts in the front and rear on some applications allow you to maintain vehicle manufacturer suspension geometry design. The pillow ball top mounts also allow you a more direct feel for solid driver response. Camber adjustability is included on pillow ball top mounts that allow it for the ability to adjust camber from the actual coilover, instead of a separate camber kit.

Most applications utilize an adjustable lower mount, which means you adjust height without losing suspension travel like some other coilover designs do. With the mounts and most pieces of the coilover being designed for 6061 billet aluminum the kit is lightweight, durable, and rust resistant. The steel shock body is electroplated with zinc to resist rust and the elements. The valving of each set is matched to the springs installed for unmatched ride quality and reliability.

The Ksport system uses a Monotube design in which the oil and gas are separated within the cylinder. When compared to twin tube designs the Monotube dissipates heat better, allows finer dampening adjustments, and requires more expensive design process. Aeration and cavatation are a lot less common in a Monotube design, which results in a better ride.

The Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover kit has been designed with professional road racing in mind offering extremely high value and performance.

Key Features:
-36-way adjustable dampening
-Made from high quality 6061 Aluminum with T6 for increased hardness
-Compression/Rebound adjustable
-Adjustable spring perch for height adjustment
-Adjustable body allowing maximum suspension travel
-Pillow Ball Top Mount w/ adjustable camber (not available for some models)
-Monotube High Pressure Design reduces oil leakage
-Electroplated body for protection from corrosion and rust
-One Year Limited Warranty

Incl. Front Pillow Ball Mount & Rear Top Mount...

not sure if i made this clear,

- Possible trade for new or close to new PS2's or T1-Rs in 235 or 245 Fr & 265 or 275 Rr.

- If you just have fronts or rears you're going to have to offer up some cash as well.

- Also may consider a complete set of oem 18s with plenty of rubber left (ps2, t1r only) + $250 cash

How is the ride on these? How does it perform over stock?

I've heard that these are bouncy and not that great. You've had them on your car so you could best explain your opinion.

Thanks

Overall I didnt have any negative experience with them. I had a track experienced mechanic take care of the install, someone I trust and pay to get the job done right the first time. Nothing against others or shops who have done the install themselves, but I'm willing to bet there were some minor nuances that had to be addressed by my installer (as is the case with any install more complicated than swapping out some grills or clear corners). I also had the car corner balanced during the alignment as well.

The ride quality was very similar to variety of other cars ive driven with pss9, ground control single adj, etc. Much less body roll and more confidence inspiring than stock. Far better than any M3 with just lowering springs. I did have upgraded sway bars on the car so it was substantially more stiff. The kit also comes with solid bushings on the endlinks which significantly boosts turn in response. If you're not looking for that track ready handling, turner motorsports modified endlinks and retaining stock sways will surely smooth things up.

Lastly remember that these folks are hitting the market with a product far below the costs of tckline, JIC competition, moton etc and some others out there. Do not expect that sort of outcome, but an excellent, ride, fitment, and fit and finish for 1k bmw e46 M3 coilover suspension...far better than any ebay or pieced together setups out there for those on a budget.

Hope that helps

Not sure I understand your real intentions for selling these, but
check on Ebay for the PS2s. You can often find tires with
more than 60% tread life for like $80 + shipping. They are
usually off cars that were dealer trade-in or were leased.
They are repair-free and usually guaranteed by the seller.
Just a suggestion, AND you get to keep your coilovers
