Default Was the ZCP option available only on US cars???

As long as I know (from the article in Topgear magazine a while back).
BMW couldn't export CSL (coupe Sport Lightweight) to the US so they made new version that can actually pass crash test etc. for US market (Competition package) then UK customers want the competition package cars since it's not hardcore as CSL but still has CSL features so BMW released competition package as CS version (Coupe Sport- NO "L"ightweight).

So answer is NO Competition package is still available in other countries as CS (Coupe Sport), softer version of CSL (Coupe Sport Lightweight).
