Question Ordered 04 M3! Looking for advise for selling current car

I'm so excited, always dreamed of owning a m3 since the e30 and just ordered an 04 silver grey coupe w/ SMG. I'll have my production number on Monday. (I'm not jinxing anything by posting this... really)

This board helped me so much in figuring out options, handling the dealership and ordering process. Thanks to everyone for making this community so cool.

Anyway the only positive things about the wait will be being able to sell my car for a decent price instead of trading it in. I've got a 96 318 cab 5spd now (The jump to the M3 is going to keep my heart racing for years) it only has 28k miles (yes I know pathetic but I only work a mile from my house). Any recommendations on selling method or online sites. I've never sold a car before and I'm trying to figure out if I should use autotrader, ebay, latimes web site, paper a combination or something else. Any recommendations or tips on things to avoid?

Thanks!

I've had very good luck using Ebay. Have sold a couple of cars there, including a corvette. If the car is in excellent shape and you post some good photos with an indepth description, you should get a good offer.

few things I keep in mind:

be descriptive and honest
use pictures whenever possible
advertise in as many places as you can

try autotrader.com, cars.com, and any of your local print autotrader/autolocator publications.

Had good luck with Ebay. No luck with my local newspapers.
