What worries me is the info on the last page..

It says kurb weight 1655 Kg's.. thats like 3648 lb's.. That's not right..?? Why are there so many conflicting weights floating around? I'm not happy with 1655 Kg's..

Somebody listed the various weight standards in this section somewhere and it can be very confusing, with or with driver, full tank/empty tank, options/no options, etc. It can very from country to country too. I don't pay much attention, I just wait for the real performance figures and reports.

...now is it curb weight, kurb weight or kerb weight?

Interesting article. Is it safe to assume that we in the US will be seeing the M3 in early 2008? I haven't paid much attention to US date speculation here.

Thanks, doing what I can. I'm a little closer to BMW than most of you guys and try to clear up speculations and correct misinformation with stuff from the source when and if it is available. I have been invited by BMW M for a "closed room" presentation of the E92 M3 for a few people on Monday near Munich. Don't know what they are going to show and tell us and if it is all for the public domain, or even if there is anything new, so we'll see what I can bring back. Understandably BMW are careful with their information and like to be on the conservative side, so while likes and dislikes are personal, at least we can try to keep the facts straight and respect them for what they are doing in bring us a new car from ground up. Since BMW is so conservative with its info, I suspect we are underestimating the new M3 in its sum total.

Hardly, because I could voice all the infos and opinions today

however I should add that they would be somewhat biased

Therefore it is always best to have a neutral party involved -> John_T <- for an objectiv summery on the days happenings
