Default daytona offset problem

hi all,

i got a set of iF Daytona's and i am having a bit of a concern about the offset of these wheels, they are:

Front 19x8 +26
Rear 19x10 +28
tires are dunlop sportmaxx 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear.

the front's offset are kinda aggressive, and i am a bit concerned if it is going to rub if i drop my car...should i get 235s or 225s? (the fronts are more "poped-out" compared to the rears)

The rears looked abit "tucked" in (on stock suspension), and i am concerned if i ever drop the car that the wheel are going to be tucked into the fenders. but i am looking for that fender-flush look after dropping the car.

can anyone tell me if those offsets seems correct for the setup?

if you have a similar setup, please chime in!

PS: they are extreme forged which means they have bigger lip

thanks

Fronts will clear w/ 235. Ive seen x8.5 w/ 245 clear (but lower offset). Rears will tuck in, if you dont want that I think you can get the rear camber arms or something

Ok I looked around. I guess the normal offset for the front w/ a x8.5 wheel would be in the neighborhood of 32 - 35 . It does look like it will have a hard time clearing if it does at all. You might be able to get some ground control camber plates.

These wheels dont sound like it was made for an m3 .. was it made for the m5 or something?

so i guess that would mean that i am in trouble with those +26 offset in the front? if i use the camber plates, wouldn't that mean i will be running some mad camber at the front that will make the car look weird? or even handle weird?

i think the rims are m3 spec

Having a negative camber actually helps on the handling but wears out your tires faster. I would suggest on just getting new tires and selling your old ones. I'm pretty sure there's some forum members in need of those size tires

front offset of +26 is clearly wrong
how did u end up buying such rims?

I think the lowest front M3 should run (withouth increasing too much of stress level on the wheel bearing n axle ) is +35

according to vince from iForged:

You should be running a 235/35/19 on the 19x8. That is the correct fitment on the M3

example 19x9 on m3 is +38, convert that to a 19x8.5 which is a +32 and then to a 19x8 which is +26.

Vince

but can anyone confirm this?

thanks

Your statement is incorrect. Yes a +26 offset on a 19x9 or 19x8.5 is incorrect, But on a 19x8 a +26 fits exactly the same in the fender as a 19x8.5 with a +32 or a 19x9 with a +38, which are both standard M3 offsets.
