What is the difference between the "PREVIOUS VERSION" and the "CURRENT VERSION"?

I just got off the phone with Bilstein in Poway, CA. According to Steve (technician, not sales), the only difference is that the H1 version has new plating and has undergone 1,000 hours of salt spray testing. I have read and heard that there were some valving changes as well. But, I have not been able to confirm this. The new plating will keep the shock housing and connecting parts from corroding and pitting.
