that's great work, i'd probably try buying a halogen light to make sure that you didn't miss any spots, and it will help with the pictures. They're pretty cheap. Congrats on your new buy though, careful not to get too exctied about polishing, it will add up.

Dude, forget that, if you wanna be polish happy, buy an abrasive free polish, no clearcoat removal, just friggin' amazing results and continual shine and gloss uncovering.....only be carefull about the new condition paints

Well, unfortunately, this Mr2 is old school and like a lot of cars in the 90's, this is a single stage paint with no clear coat. All that polishing was rubbing the paint

Man, nothing gets passed you guys around here.

Yeah, I decided to try and sell it. My homie 2Euro (Mark) bought a daily driver for himself - a 97 Integra LS. I thought I would smoke him considering I only had 10 less HP, but had 20ft lbs. more torque and weigh ~150lbs. less.

There were 2 people in the 'teg. We started from a 2nd gear roll. By the end of second, he was a good car or more in front. On 3rd and 4th, he was gone.

From a standstill, same thing. The Acura's 7000rpm really helps it keep going. I know I bought it as a daily, but if for the same price I can have 2 extra seats in the rear and go a bit faster, why not?

If I can't get a fair offer for it, I'm just gonna keep it - especially after all the work I put into it.

Definitely. You won't be able to break it down by hand unless you're super man or speedy gonzales.

I'll try to be brief and give a quick answer.
Your process is correct. Glazing and sealing is optional, so is waxing if you want to get technical. However, you need to do something after polishing. I would say that if you're having trouble removing swirls/scratches, use a glaze to help fill in the defects. If you're content w/ the results after polishing, go ahead and seal it. Wait a little while, couple hours, whatever, then go ahead and throw a carnuba over the sealant to help give the paint a little glow. You can leave the sealant as is though w/o topping it. You can usually buy meguiars at local shops. Search on autopia for what megs stuff to use though. I'm not a big meguiars user, so I dont know which #s you'll want to go w/ off the top of my head. Otherwise, you can always order online.
If you have a pc available to you, by all means use it. its very user friendly and makes the whole detailing process better and faster than by hand. Be careful with other buffers if you've never used them before. I use the pc to apply all polishes and sealants, some glazes and some waxes. It really depends which products you use.
