Default So, they did it!

Despite writing it on the service sheet in BIG RED LETTERS they washed my car. They did as much damage in one wash as I have in a year of washing it myself. It looks like they took sandpaper to it.

So, my dealer is picking up the tab for a full detailing. Can anyone tell me the BEST detailer in the DC to fix my body swirls. Cost is no issue, I dont mind waiting a month or two to get it done but it has to be the BEST there is.

Please give me some good news. And did I mention - he must be the BEST.

thast sucks...i have heard this scene happen several times. you have to just wrote all over the windows with dryerase marker "dont wash me" and then draw little picture of you burning downthe dealership and eating ppls babies as an example of what would happen if they do

and illtell you from personal experience....ive detailed at a dealership and i NEVER saw a servise sheet. all i saw was keys. and i mean laying around or anything (i like to snoop around)

you should make them pay for , not realistic but w/e

Man, that blows! Good luck! I just dropped mine off this morning with instructions not to wash it but I didn't say anything about eating babies.

Next time you can try writting "DO NOT WASH" on your windshield with a bar of soap or even shoe polish. When you get the vehicle back the soap will wash off with a regular wash or the shoe polish can be wiped off with alcohol or a premium window cleaner.

Thanks for all the suggestions for how to get them not to wash it the next time but what I really need is for someone to tell me the best detailer in DC/NoVa area so I can undo the cr@p they caused this time.

Anyone? Best detailer in DC/NoVa?? PLEASE.

Just got mine back from the dealer. They didn't wash it but it's covered with pollen (better than the alternative). The SA put a hand written note on the dash saying "DO NOT WASH".

I'm not the BEST, but I could "charge" you $500, I take my $150, and you can pocket the rest.

Tempting, most certainly.

I've been thinking about this issue of the dealer washing my car against my expressed and written request and I have come to the following conclusion:

I FEEL STUPID.

I mean, there was a time when the thought of getting a free car wash and vacuum would have been very appealing. Not now. When I got the M3 I decided that it would be a great therapy and an awesome workout to keep it spotless. It looks little different now than it did when I purchased it. So, attention from some suds-monkey with a washcloth made of ScotchBrite is unappealing.

So, for making me feel stupid I am going to make the dealer pay for the BEST detailing I can find.

That'll teach them not to ignore my requests.

Even so, your offer is appealing :o)

Good idea,

I think you can buy white, water soluble markers especially for writing on glass - at least when I drag raced we did.

Remind me of your website - I need some bits and pieces.
