First of all, how did you find a skyline GTR to run you? where are you located? Second, I don't think that's a good way to s/c or turbocharge your E46 M3. Guess the engine will not like those much of power

I'm not surprised that you got spanked by a GTR, what model was the skyline? R32 or 33 or 34? let me tell you the truth, even if you turbocharge your M3 you still wont have 100 percent chance to beat the GTR! btw, Where are you from????

If you wanted the fastest car on the road you made a mistake getting an M3. My advise is unless your 100% sure your going to win then don't race. That way you'll never lose.

Most gtr's are modded, few will import a gtr over here and keep it at 280hp (which is already under rated because of japanese regulations). So you are chasing your own tail if you want to compete with highly modified gtr's or supras and shit. Our M3's are very expensive to upgrade and you bought the wrong car if you want to be able to modify it for drag racing.

DavidW333, I agree with you, people really bought the wrong car to mod if they think M3 is the one, but GTR's aren't for drag racing!

chang4, I am from the rowland area as well..and as you know the the GTRs are becoming more prevalent in La....
The GTR that I ran against was actually that of a friend's. His recently purchased the R34 V-spec through motorex... I guess I just wanted to get a feel of what it is like driving a civic and getting spanked by a M3.....I guess I now understand how it must have felt... |

A friend of mine also purchased a blue R34 from motorex few weeks ago down in Chicago. How much did yours cost? He claimed it costed him 80 grants. I also have a friend in Hong Kong who has a yellow fully mod. R-34, pictures in my photo album, http://arcmpower.home.icq.com/photoalbum.html
Check it out. |

What is the slalom speed on these cars? Can they match up against the M3s 67 mph, even if fully modified? How do they do on the skid pad?

I think your friend's SKyline is a GTS instead of GTR. It's a RWD, right?
